Just wanted to make a quick thread regarding the new Endurance mining frigate
Specifically the following role bonus:
300% bonus to Ore Mining yield
After testing and experimenting. I do not believe this role bonus is being applied
Can someone else test independantly for me, to confirm my conclusions please?
Would be greatly appreciated

I'm not a major miner  -- I'm more of an explorer in wormholes, preying on relic and data sites....
But as an explorer.. I like to 'explore'
I could go further on how many things I enjoy 'exploring' but I fear those posts would be deleted
Therefore, as far as exploring goes, I enjoy exploring all aspects of a new EVE update
Is that so bad?  |

No problem at all
flying a prospect (with all level 5 skills, including expedition frigates), I can touch at around 3,200 M3(ish) with 2 modulated deep core mining lasers (+ crystals attatched)
now with the endurance.. and its 300% bonus to ore yield.. i'm only touching on around 1600m3 per cycle with a single mining laser (+ crystals attatched) [note: you can only fit 1 mining laser to this varient]
Now am i mistaken in my understanding of the role bonus?
I'm understand it as the following:
If you have 'x m3' as your yield, but the role of the ship is '100% bonus' should be 2x m3? (basically double)
Therefore, using this model, shouldnt the m3 of the single mining laser be 4x larger due to +300% bonus? |

you're right it is an ice mining ship.. but maybe you should check your exploration, before you post and look at the role bonus's yourself .........

These are the fittings + stats for my ships:
Prospect:

(note that this is only ONE laser, so 3040m3 for both of them (I got 3200 from fleet boosts I believe))
Endurance:

(Note that the endurance has 300% bonus, and Prospect has 100% bonus, and one laser from the prospect gives 1520m3)
There is only a difference of 152m3 per cycle between 100% and 300% bonus
The other difference between Prospect and Endurance is the 25%* bonus to the mining via Expedition Frigates skill on the Prospect
(*25% bonus at level V)
That is the basis of my argument, whether or not the role bonus on the Endurance is actually being applied

But I personally like to fit things which are not usually thought of by the developers and test them out
